Yes, life's little pleasures are in being able to eat and drink well !! However, there are many other things we take for granted. Once I had to undergo an operation under anasthesia below my waist and then I realized how I wanted to pee naturally !! Good luck and stay healthy !!

Hi Lee Ann,

Thanks for your kind words. I spend half my life fantasizing about what I'm going to eat and (especially) drink when I get my transplant.

I've been (back) on dialysis for nearly five years now, so it's been an awfully long time since I've enjoyed some of the things I've listed.

It's nice to know that other dialysis patients fantasize about what they will eat when they get their transplant. I tell my husband the same thing ... although I have not gone as far as you and developed my dream menu for the day! Usually my desires encompass cheese, ice cream, lots of cold milk and Oreos, pasta with tomato sauce, BLTs, pizza and crispy french fries! I have been on dialysis for a little over a year, and I'm in the U.S. --- Michigan. I'm please to have found your blog.
